Fox Glacier village is the most logical and convenient stopping point on the South Westland Highway. We are just a 2-hour drive south of Hokitika and a 3.5-hour drive north of Wanaka, with each direction having plenty of scenic stopping places and lookouts along the way.

The Rainforest Motel is situated off the main highway, 100 metres down Cook Flat Road. We therefore have a quiet location but with the benefit of being within walking distance of the restaurants, shop and activity providers.
